The origin story

Born from a "Feck it, I'll build my own" moment

I got locked out of my Google account before a trip.

No Maps. No Gmail. No nothing. I was standing there, about to head off, and I had no way to get directions anywhere. Everything I needed was behind a Google wall I suddenly couldn't open.

So I thought: feck it, I'll make my own.

AwayWithYa is what happened next. Built on OpenStreetMap, Leaflet, Photon, and GraphHopper — all open source, all free, all yours. No account. No tracking. No corporate nonsense.
